To hold, you must first open your hand. Let go.
I view therapy as a relationship based on respect and trust. This allows both the client and therapist to identify recurring patterns, whether helpful or not, and then develop alternate approaches which promote acceptance and emotional balance. I offer mindfulness based interventions that foster a healing relationship with yourself and others.
My professional background includes over a decade of outpatient counseling in the Seattle metro area. I've provided services to teens, adults, and senior citizens in both community mental health and private practice settings. While in practice, I have focused on pragmatic approaches which accommodate differing cultural backgrounds and worldviews. I was raised near the Andean foothills (i.e. precordilleras) along with the Ozark mountains. I also developed my clinical experience alongside the beautiful Cascades, while serving differing Latino communities. Consequentially, I am fluent both in Spanish and English. I earned a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Northwest University University of Kirkland, WA.
